Detect and confirm the presence of members of coli-aerogenes group in water, wastewater, foods, milk, and dairy products with Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Brilliant Green Bile Broth 2% (Dehydrated). The medium has been formulated to select for coliform bacteria which are recognised by rapid production of gas through lactose fermentation. Bile salts and brilliant green in the medium inhibit the Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria respectively.

描述
Brilliant Green Bile Broth 2% was first described by Durham and Schoenlein1 to selectively recover organisms of the coli-aerogenes group. The concentration of the components of the medium is optimized so that anaerobic lactose fermenters are inhibited without the coliforms being affected.
- Easy-to-read: coliform bacteria are easy to recognize by rapid production of gas through lactose fermentation.
- Selects for coliform organisms: bile salts and brilliant green in the medium inhibit nontarget Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. The medium is further optimized to prevent the growth of anaerobic lactose fermenters without coliforms being affected.
